You will see that this list is divided into sections, namely

- Business Transactions
- UK Intellectual Property Office, and
- Dispute Resolution.

That is because my practice consists of contentious and non-contentious work. Contentious work includes appearing in courts and tribunals including the UK Intellectual Property Office, OHIM and the EPO, mediators, arbitrators, UDRP and Nominet panellists and other dispute resolution service providers. My non-contentious work (which I like best) involves providing artists, designers, entrepreneurs, inventors and others with legal advice and instruments that they need to set up and grow their businesses.

Some lawyers and indeed most law firms like to keep  their contentious and non-contentious work quite separate. In my experience business people do not do that. They see dispute resolution as an essential  part of carrying on business and often resent having to get to know a different team with different expertise for different types of legal work.  It is also my experience that experience of presenting cases to judges who make the law makes for better advice on avoiding disputes in the first place. Conversely, experience of advising on business transactions makes for more realistic and advice when a dispute occurs.

Over the years I have done many hundreds if not thousands of different types of work. These are just samples of the sort of things I do in my practice.
